The equestrian camps held in the Netherlands aim to teach children about the magical world of horses. The training programs are fun, adventurous, filled with learning and making new friends of many different cultures.
June 30th – July 13th, 2019
The children receive their own horse which they ride and engage with during the practical lessons. The horses are perfectly suited to the age, the discipline and the level of experience of the child. The activities are specially designed for children between the ages of 8 – 18, they are adaptable to fit each child. They include training sessions, trail rides, workshops, leisure activities and clinics to increase horsemanship and rider fitness.
The theory takes part both in the stable and in the classroom for the most optimal transfer of knowledge. There are also exciting activities and games organized in the evenings, such as making horse cake and night rides through the forest.
The children program takes place in Biddinghuizen. Biddinghuizen is a small village centrally located in the province of Flevoland. It is only a one hour drive from Schiphol Airport.
The venue has the following facilities: paddocks, a big sand jumping arena, a grass arena, two large forests, horse showers, private terrace and a restaurant/ meeting area. The children sleep in log cabins.
This unique location gives us the opportunity to vary between the training and going into the forest and landscapes in the area.
An oriental breakfast is served every morning. It consists of freshly baked petit bread, different kinds of bread, milk, juice, sweet and savoury sandwich filling, tea, coffee & fruits. Lunch every day consists of different kinds of bread, milk, juice, sweet and savoury sandwich filling, tea, coffee, fruits & vegetables. The dinners differ every evening, a few examples of these are homemade Spaghetti Bolognese, a barbecue and even a “make your own healthy pizza” night!
The children will be under full supervision by experienced ESI trainers and staff. The staff is trained and educated to adapt to every riders needs, this is to fit the variety of ages and levels of experience of the individuals taking part in the program. The atmosphere is friendly and safe, allowing riders to concentrate and focus, or simply enjoy their hobby. ESI wants you to get the most out of your four-legged-partner and more importantly that your horse gets the best from you!
