The equestrian camps held in the Netherlands aim to teach young adults about the inner workings of the equestrian world. The training programs are entertaining, adventurous, a cultural experience and filled with learning.
22 July – 4 August 2018
The young adults receive their own horse which they ride and engage with during the practical lessons. The horses are perfectly suited to the age, the discipline and the level of experience of the person. The activities are specially designed for people between the ages of 18 – 28, they are adaptable to fit each individual. They include training sessions, trail rides, workshops, leisure activities and clinics to increase horsemanship and rider fitness.
The theory takes part both in the stable and in the classroom for the most optimal transfer of knowledge. There are also exciting social activities and games organized in the evenings, or your own leisure time to spend how you like.
The training program takes place in the picturesque village of Ommen, which is in the east of the Netherlands.
The 5 acre property accommodates approximately 50 horses, both schoolmasters and boarding horses. It includes a big new indoor arena, a big outdoor area, eventing jumps, a private terrace and a restaurant. There are 11 rooms that accommodate between 2-10 people, each with their own toilet and bathroom.
Its unique location gives us the opportunity to vary between the training areas and going out into the surrounding woods and landscapes.
An oriental breakfast is served every morning. It consists of freshly baked petit bread, different kinds of bread, milk, juice, sweet and savoury sandwich filling, tea, coffee & fruits. Lunch everyday consists of different kinds of bread, milk, juice, sweet and savoury sandwich filling, tea, coffee, fruits & vegetables.
